Electric Lawn Mowers
Popular especially in Europe where gardens tend to be smaller, Electric lawn mowers are a cost effective yet non labour intensive way of cutting grass. Under the power of an electric motor these mowers tend to be light in weight, and thus suitable for use by all kinds of people. Other great benefits of electric lawn mowers are that they are quiet, and because they plug into the mains, they don’t run out of fuel, and don't require the same level of maintenance as a gas mower.
The downsides of electric mowers include their lack of power, making it harder to cut large thick areas of grass, and the fact that they require a power lead which obviously restricts where they can be used.
Many modern electric lawn mowers have added design features to improve user comfort and safety when mowing, this includes specially designed handles, systems to ensure that the cable is kept clear of the cutting blade (although there is still no substitute for good ol’ fashioned common sense and due diligence) and systems to improve cutting grass at the edge of the lawn, by funnelling it into the cutting blade.

Many electric lawn mowers boast this feature but are ineffective a generating stripes because they are too light
· Think about how often you will be cutting the grass. Some electric mowers are designed for lighter use than others, and this is reflected in both the power of the motor and the overall build quality. In some cases the cutting blade will even be made from plastic. Bear in mind then that a plastic cutting blade will wear down far quicker with regular use and need replacing. A steel blade on the other hand can simply be sharpened as required
